Thoughts

Tim:
4/5 Very Good

A short fun game allowing you to play multiple rounds quickly. It's a word search game but given the small grid and ability to score words of only 3 letters it allows for even people with poor spelling to compete and have a chance. Simply, short, and fun it's Great for a quick starter game for the evening.

Laura:
4/5

A word game that I somehow hadn't yet played. I really enjoyed it - always fun to see what words I missed that my opponent saw, and the opposite, words that seemed to be apparent that they missed. I found it enjoyable and while you're rewarded for finding longer words, it's good to find easy or shorter words as well so your opponent can't claim points from them.

Trivia

  • A larger version of Boggle was released with a 5x5 grid that also disallowed three letter words and some combination cube with multiple letters like Qu, Th and In.
  • For a game that has sold millions, there is not a lot of information about it. Almost everyone has the same simple sentence. "Boggle is a word game invented by Allan Turoff and originally distributed by Parker Brothers."
